Brief Experiential Avoidance Questionnaire
Willingness to feel feelings is an important aspect of sex addiction recovery. When we shove our negative feelings to the basement, they lift weights and come back stronger.
This test is good to gauge how ready we are to feel our feelings. And coming back at check points, like once every few months, it’s good to take again and look at our progress. Our goal by working with mindfulness and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is to learn how to lean into negative emotions like anxiety, shame, or sexual cravings without acting on them or suppressing them.
